Will Wells
Will Wells was a member of the Burlington Bocce Club for many years. Will had a huge part in growing the love for bocce, as he invited new friends as often as he could. Will was kind, funny and had a serious stare when playing, his left hand always on the right knee while the right hand rolled the ball; focus.
Will was an employee of the state of VT for many years and took a lot of pride and passion helping others. Will had a huge impact on Feeding Vermont, this was so important to him. Will not only helped Vermonters in need but also supported the staff who helped them; he was a member of the VSEA (Vermont State Employees Association) union and was a strong advocate here. Will was a strict vegetarian who had a true love for peanut butter. Will surrounded himself with friends and had a strong love for his family.
Will enjoyed snowboarding in the winter, and along with bocce, he loved being in the water during the summer months, paddleboarding, swimming or just sitting in the sunshine.
Will enjoyed the simple things in life and often frequented the rocks at Oakledge after the games to watch the sunset, or would go over to St. Johns Club; he loved the sunset. Will passed away in July of 2022 after a long battle with his mental health; he will forever be missed. Will would want us to remember him in happiness and fun times, sipping a good IPA and embracing the sunshine.
